5 Ways to Invest In Yourself 2015 Challenge


For someone who deals with anxiety on a daily basis, I have quickly come to find out how important investing in your health really is. Stress and Anxiety can put a lot of wear and tear on your body and can slow you down. It takes unconditionally love for yourself to stop for a moment and tell yourself what you need. We don’t want to be gambling with our health and unsure how it will feel from day to day. Doesn’t everyone want to be healthy, clear minded, and feel love and peace inside you?

I came up with 5 different ways you can invest in your overall health this New Year. 

5 ways to invest in your health:

1. 8-9 Hours of sleep (Monday – Friday)

2. No technology 20 minutes before bed

3. At least 64 oz of water daily (4 bottled waters)

4. 30 minutes of workout time (Monday – Friday)

5. 1 cup of Anti Inflammatory or Herbal Tea Daily

To Stay Motivated

We have a desktop wallpaper and mobile phone wallpaper or mobile lock screen to remind you every day. We also have one you can print out at home and place it anywhere in your house. You can put it in the kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, even keep it in your purse. 

5 Ways to Invest in Yourself in Detail


8-9 hours of sleep, (Monday – Friday) this would mean going to bed between 9:30-10:00 to get a good amount of sleep for the night. Sleep is an important step in your daily beauty routine; more sleep will help you lose weight, have more energy, build your immune system, and make your skin glow.

2. No Tech Before Bed

No technology 20 minutes before bed can be hard since that means; No phone, TV, iPads, etc. This is the time to create a healthy bedtime routine that signals to your body it’s time to wind down. Read a book, do your nighttime beauty regimen, and help yourself prepare for quality sleep!


3. 64 OZ Water Daily

If you ask any Doctor they will recommend that you should have at the very least, 64 OZ of water daily. To put that amount into perspective that’s about 4 bottled waters to consume throughout the day. Staying hydrated will make a massive difference in your skin, hair and nails. It also plays a big role with your energy and detoxifying your body. They say if you’ve reached the point of being really thirsty, you’re already dehydrated. I suggest getting yourself a nice BPA free bottle and fill it up throughout the day.

4. 30 minutes of Exercise

Exercise can be hard for people who can’t find the time, but again we are talking about investing in your health and not gambling. It has to be a decision you make that this is just as important as you taking a shower before work. If you can do at least 30-60 minutes a day, you can really reduce your risk of many common illnesses. 

5. 1 cup of Anti-Inflammatory or Herbal Tea (Hot or Iced)

There is a plethora of research on the benefits of drinking just one cup of tea each day. Our bodies can easily become inflamed with the wrong foods and consuming tea daily and put your body back in shape. For example, extra body fat, Sugar, and too much Gluten in our diets can cause inflammation in the body. Help your body to start working more efficiently by limiting your processed foods and drinking good quality tea daily.
